WOMAN PLEADS GUILTY TO HAMMER ATTACK ON PARTNER, FACE JAIL
A WOMAN named Andrea Jane Griffiths has pleaded guilty to assaulting her partner, Gwyn Edwards, by hitting him over the head with a hammer and causing damage to his wooden front door.Griffiths, aged 37 and residing on Dunraven Street in Tonypandy, is now scheduled to attend Rhondda domestic violence court on May 11.
Prosecutor Mike Powell stated: “The defendant assaulted a person she has been in an on-off relationship with over the last few months.
A hammer was taken to the head of the complainant, causings minor injuries and a small bump to the head.” Magistrate Elizabeth Pearce mentioned: “What we have decided to do is put your case back to the domestic violence court on May 11.
Probation will carry out an all options open report.” It is reported that Griffiths could face jail for her actions, which involved an attack during a period of ongoing relationship issues with her partner.
