MAN FINED FOR ABUSIVE ATTEMPTS TO REKINDLE RELATIONSHIP
A man named Alexander Morrison, aged 29, residing on Bridge View Drive, Inverness, has been fined for his abusive behavior towards his ex-partner.Morrison’s relationship ended following an argument, and he responded by driving slowly past her house, looking in, on about ten separate occasions.
He also sent her numerous presents, letters, cards, and flowers, and visited her home multiple times, including unannounced in the early morning hours.
His actions frightened her, and she reported to the police.
On one occasion, a neighbor confronted Morrison in the early hours, and the woman saw him outside her home at 11 pm, feeling scared and asking him to leave.
Morrison claimed his actions were spontaneous and emotionally driven, aiming to rekindle their relationship, but admitted he understood his ex had been scared by this behavior.
The court fined Morrison £420 and imposed a two-year non-harassment order to prevent him from contacting or visiting her.
