KIRKCALDY PENSIONER ON SEX OFFENDERS LIST AFTER STREET REMARK
A pensioner from Kirkcaldy, identified as Alexander Johnstone, has been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for five years after he made an unwanted sexual remark to a woman on the street. The 71-year-old had previously admitted to intentionally making the remark for sexual gratification or to humiliate, distress, or alarm his victim during an incident that occurred on October 17 in West Lothian.
His solicitor stated that Johnstone acknowledges his inappropriate behavior and has expressed remorse.
This outcome follows his guilty plea and court proceedings at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, where he was also sentenced to complete 175 hours of unpaid work.
