Alexander Jenkinson admitted to possessing a collection of 1,313 indecent images of children.
He was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended for two years, and he was also ordered to undertake 40 days of rehabilitation, complete 100 hours of unpaid work, and pay £500 in costs.
His guilty pleas included charges of creating indecent images of children and distributing them.
At Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court, it was revealed that among the images, 550 were classified as Category A, which is the most severe.
An additional 322 images were classified as Category B, and 441 as Category C.
The images had been downloaded over a period from August 29, 2016, to March 26, 2021.
Jenkinson also admitted to sharing these images from January 1, 2018, to March 25, 2021.
Additionally, police found that he possessed 11 extreme pornographic images depicting a person engaging in sexual acts with an animal.
