ALAN DAVIDSON FROM COWDENBEATH SENTENCED FOR MULTIPLE ASSAULTS AT FRASER DRIVE, LOCHGELLY
Alan Davidson, a 37-year-old resident of Broad Street in Cowdenbeath, faced the courts in Dunfermline on April 17 to answer for a series of serious assault charges. The proceedings culminated in a sentencing that reflected the gravity of his actions, with Davidson receiving a custodial term of 15 months for the assaults, alongside an additional six months for his failure to appear at court earlier this year.
Details of the case reveal that Davidson had previously admitted to multiple violent incidents that took place on July 2, 2016, at Fraser Drive in Lochgelly.
On that day, he assaulted his partner who was residing at the same address, kicking her on the head and causing her injury.
The assault was not an isolated incident, as Davidson also admitted to attacking a second woman on the same day, during which he punched and kicked her on the head and body, resulting in injuries.
Further allegations include an assault on a third woman, where Davidson reportedly seized her by the body, pushed her, and repeatedly punched her on the head, again causing injury.
These incidents paint a disturbing picture of repeated violence against multiple women in the Lochgelly area.
In addition to these assaults, Davidson's legal troubles include a breach of bail conditions.
He was granted bail on August 10, 2018, with the understanding that he would appear at the scheduled court dates.
However, on January 15, 2019, Davidson failed to attend a court hearing at Dunfermline Sheriff Court without any reasonable excuse, breaching the conditions of his bail.
His failure to appear and the violent nature of his previous assaults led to the court's decision to impose a significant custodial sentence, reflecting the seriousness of his actions and the need for justice for his victims.
The case underscores ongoing concerns about violence against women and the importance of accountability within the judicial system.
