SERIAL DOMESTIC ABUSER GIVEN COMMUNITY ORDER AFTER CAR ATTACK AND ASSAULTS

A serial domestic abuser, Ainsley White, was recently given a two-year community order after being convicted of multiple offences related to domestic violence and assault.

The court heard that White, of Lilford Avenue in Bewsey, had a history of violent behavior against multiple partners.

In the latest incident, he deliberately caused his girlfriend to crash her car by pulling on the handbrake while they were returning from Blackpool, which resulted in her losing control and spinning into a kerb.

During the incident, White took over driving but the journey was further marred when one of the vehicle’s tyres blew out.

While attempting roadside repairs, he threw a wheel locking nut at her face, leaving her with a permanent scar.

A statement read to the court detailed how the victim now fears retaliation from White’s associates, as he remains in prison following his arrest on August 14, after police forcibly entered his home using a battering ram and incapacitant spray.

White has 36 previous convictions for 74 offences since 1996, including battery against partners, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and other violent acts, some dating back to 2003.

In his recent trial, White was found guilty of two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm but admitted to obstructing police.

The court was told about his toxic relations with his partner Charlotte Alsop, which involved arguments, threats with a knife, and physical violence such as dragging her by her hair and pushing her head into a bed.

Ms.

Alsop also described her injuries, including a black eye and a permanent scar caused by an incident during a roadside repair attempt.

She expressed her fear and anxiety regarding her safety, especially now that White is in custody.

During sentencing, District Judge Gwyn Jones highlighted the unhealthy nature of their relationship and White’s pattern of substance abuse and violence.

He was sentenced to a two-year community order, including rehabilitation, GPS tracking, and a 10-year restraining order, and was ordered to pay compensation and court costs.

White reacted to his sentence by giving two thumbs up and saying, "Thank you." The judge emphasized the seriousness of White’s behavior and the impact on his victims, underlining the need for structured intervention and the risks still posed to Ms.

Alsop.
