ALLOA MAN SENTENCED FOR DOMESTIC ABUSE AND ASSAULT
An Alloa man named Aidan Cooper pushed his partner to the ground and grabbed her by the hair during an abusive relationship.He appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court, admitting that between September 16, 2021, and November 15, 2022, at various locations including Tay Court, Alloa, Gartmorn Road, Sauchie, and elsewhere, he engaged in abusive conduct towards his ex-partner.
The court heard that Cooper behaved aggressively, shouting, swearing, striking a glass, kicking a washing basket, and punching a door, causing damage.
He seized her by the neck, pushed her causing her to fall on the floor, and grabbed her hair, all to her injury.
Cooper repeatedly sent her inflammatory text messages and emails, demanded she rekindle their relationship, and behaved violently and abusively, including seizing her by the neck and clothing and throwing her into the kitchen.
Additionally, he admitted to sending intimate images of a woman to another female on November 6, who was someone he only knew online, with the court indicating he only exchanged photographs with her and had never met her in person.
The woman contacted his ex-partner after discovering the images.
Cooper told police during the investigation: "I put my hands around the lassie's neck and I f****** squeezed and threw her across the kitchen." Sentencing included a community payback order with two years of supervision and 250 hours of unpaid work, a two-month restriction of liberty order, and a non-harassment order lasting three years.
