ELDERLY WOMAN ADMITS TO SENDING SEXUAL MESSAGES TO CHILDREN IN GLASGOW
An elderly woman named Agnes Kennedy, aged 62, has admitted to sending sexual messages to individuals she believed to be children. The court papers reveal that Kennedy, residing in Glasgow's Cranhill area, initially made contact with a decoy named 'Stacey' on social media from her property in Glasgow's Balornock.
Court documents state that Kennedy engaged in chat conversations with the decoy, sending sexual written messages and directing sexual verbal communication via Facebook Messenger.
These interactions included a video call where she exposed her intimate areas to the decoy.
Additionally, Kennedy later sent an image of her naked breasts to another decoy named 'Sadie'.
All charges relate to attempts to communicate indecently with a child.
Kennedy pleaded guilty last month at Glasgow Sheriff Court to both offences.
She appeared for sentencing with a Zimmer frame.
Defense lawyer Bob McCormack stated that Kennedy had difficulty articulating emotions and did not recollect the circumstances of the conversations.
The court has deferred sentencing until January for a background report.
The sheriff reminded Kennedy she remains subject to sex offender register requirements.
