BIRMINGHAM MAN ACCUSED OF BRUTAL EIGHT-HOUR ASSAULT AND RAPE
A woman who claimed she was raped after being kidnapped testified she was repeatedly assaulted in a Birmingham flat by three men.The victim described how her ordeal began when she was attacked in March of the previous year while walking home, during which her coat hood was pulled over her head, she was forced into a car, and taken to a flat where she was raped.
She recounted that she was taken into a living room where the accused and others appeared calm, and she considered running but felt trapped.
In her statement, she detailed how her track suit bottoms and underwear were pulled off, and she was punched in the face while being assaulted.
She also reported that her hair was pulled and her neck grabbed during the attack.
The offender, Adrian Wint, aged 21, from Hobmoore Road, Small Heath, pleaded not guilty to charges including rape, kidnap, false imprisonment, inflicting grievous bodily harm, and robbery.
Prosecutor Mr.
Peter Carr stated that Wint refused to identify the other two men involved, and described how the victim's clothes had been burned and she was beaten during the ordeal.
She explained that the rapists wanted her jewelry and described being kicked, punched, and doused with hot water.
Wint claimed that the incident was consensual and that she threatened to accuse him of rape, according to his statements to detectives.
The case was ongoing at the time of the report.
