PERTHSHIRE CARE HOME WORKER JAILED AFTER SHARING SICK CHILD FANTASIES ON DARK WEB

A care worker from Perthshire appeared in court after admitting to possessing disturbing child exploitation files and engaging in online threats related to child abuse.

Adam Livings, aged 30, made inappropriate boasts in dark web chats about abusing a young girl over an extended period.

Authorities seized graphic material from his mobile phone during a police raid on his residence.

Livings pleaded guilty to possessing obscene images between October 2023 and May 2024, and to making threatening statements on April 29 of the previous year, involving online discussions of child abuse, torture, and rape.

An investigation, which included a medical examination of one child, found no evidence of physical harm.

At the time of his arrest, Livings was employed at a care home in Crieff and residing with his then-partner.

Now single and unemployed, he lives in Perth.

Prosecutor Emma Farmer indicated that in May last year, police were alerted to a dark web user known as Daddy1605, with the password Daddylove, engaging in inappropriate communications and potential physical contact with a minor.

This followed an online exchange where Livings claimed to have sexually abused a preschool-aged child.

Authorities discovered Livings had searched Twitter for terms such as “kiddy rapist” and explored a Telegram group linked to no limits.

The police raided his home shortly after 5:30 p.m.

on May 3, finding six videos depicting child abuse, including two classified as extremely obscene, stored in a folder named Dank Megas.

Due to concerns over his online activity, investigations extended to children he was known to, but medical assessments revealed no abnormalities.

Defense solicitor Mark Robbins stated that Livings comprehends the distress caused and recognizes the horrific nature of his actions.

He explained that his client had struggled with mental health issues and that the taboo aspects of his online activities provided him with some thrill.

Robbins emphasized that Livings had no intent to harm anyone directly but acknowledged the severity of his conduct.

Sheriff Alison McKay postponed sentencing to allow for additional background reports.

She commented that the case was profoundly disturbing but noted that Livings’s lack of previous convictions limited sentencing options.

Livings was ordered to register as a sex offender and bail was extended until sentencing scheduled for the following year.

A care home employee from Crieff has been detained by a sheriff, who described his online child abuse as “one of the most unsettling, vile and repulsive” cases she has encountered.

Adam Livings boasted on the dark web about abusing a young girl until police intervened and executed a search of his home.
