ADAM JUSTICE-MILLS: HARINGEY PAEDOPHILE JAILED OVER 'REPULSIVE' CHILD ABUSE
A man from Haringey has received a 17-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to 78 counts of sexual offences spanning two decades from 2000 to 2020.Adam Justice-Mills, aged 61, was taken into custody on January 31 following his admission of the crimes, which include multiple rapes and attempted rapes.
He was convicted at Wood Green Crown Court on February 2.
The criminal acts involved two female victims, who were minors at the time and known personally to the perpetrator.
Justice-Mills also confessed to creating indecent images of children.
During the sentencing, one of the victims expressed her anger and resilience, stating: "He deserves everything he’s been given and more.
He pretended to be a respectable member of society, exploiting his authority to indulge his disgusting urges." She also mentioned her desire for his freedom to be a source of remorse, adding that she is now able to move forward with her life.
"I don’t seek pity or sympathy; I have support in my life and remain strong.
One day, I hope to be brave enough to speak openly in hopes of helping other victims realize it is safe to do so." The mother of the second victim expressed gratitude to Detective Constable Virginia Condren for her police work and shared her own struggles with forgiveness.
She said: "As a Christian, I am working to find forgiveness, which is difficult.
I hope that while he is incarcerated, he finds remorse and comprehends the harm he caused." Following concerns raised about Justice-Mills' conduct, authorities discovered he had admitted to abusing over a lengthy period.
They also uncovered a diary titled "confessions" on his computer, along with more than 170,000 images of child abuse.
Detective Constable Condren described Justice-Mills as a "dangerous, predatory paedophile who exploited society's most vulnerable for sexual satisfaction," and praised the victims for their bravery in speaking out.
If he is ever released, he will be subject to a further year on license and will be registered as a sex offender for life.
Judge Guy Mathieson stated that Justice-Mills had "initiated and continued abuse of the most serious and horrific nature." The Metropolitan Police urge victims of child sexual abuse, whether recent or historic, to come forward, with Detective Chief Inspector Naomi Edwards emphasizing that "police will take all reports seriously, regardless of how much time has passed."
