AARON ROLLINS, TRURO JAILED FOR RESTRAINING ORDER BREACH
AN abuser who turned up outside his ex-partner’s home with Lucozade, a pint of milk and some tracksuit bottoms has been jailed for breaching a restraining order.
Aaron Wayne Rollins, aged 31, was reported by a neighbour after he stood outside his former partner’s home in Falmouth on the morning of November 9 shouting that he still loved her.
By doing this, Rollins, of Fore Street, Chacewater, was in breach of a restraining order issued after he was convicted of assaulting her in Truro on September 12 this year.
He was given a suspended sentence of 12 weeks imprisonment, suspended for 18 months, and the restraining order was for two years.
Despite this, on November 9 at 6:30 AM, he returned outside her home in Falmouth, shouting, 'I’m really sorry.
I’m risking everything by being here.
I still love you.' A neighbour called 999 as they were aware of the issues.
When police arrived 30 minutes later, he was still there shouting about the milk, Lucozade, and tracksuit.
He was detained and claimed he hadn’t breached the order because he was invited to come.
At court, his solicitor said Rollins 'felt compelled' to attend and accepted the relationship was over, having changed his number.
The magistrates reactivated the original sentence for assault, and added a nine-week sentence for the breach.
He was ordered to pay a surcharge of £154 to fund victim services and costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
