FALMOUTH MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO HARASSMENT OF EX-FIANCÉE
A man from Falmouth described as ‘obsessive and moody’ has pleaded guilty to harassing his former fiancée.Thomas Moore, aged 31 and residing on High Street, admitted to engaging in harassment without violence between February and April of this year.
His ex-partner described Moore’s personality as possessive and unpredictable, noting that he would become angry and shout when she referenced his heroin use.
She recalled him warning her, saying, “If you don’t shut up I will knock you out.” Even after their breakup in January, Moore continued to make unwanted contact through messages, phone calls, and visits to her home.
On one occasion, she believed he was watching her after he sent a message shortly after she had come out of the shower, questioning why she had two beer bottles on her table.
Moore is expected to be sentenced at Truro Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where a court order has been issued preventing him from contacting or approaching his former partner.
The court remarked, “Whatever situation you find yourself in, it is your fault...
otherwise you are going to get yourself in significant trouble.”
