NORTHUMBERLAND PAEDOPHILE WILLIAM ORCHIN JAILED FOR HISTORIC SEX OFFENCES
William Orchin, a man convicted of possessing indecent images, has received an eight-year prison sentence.
His criminal history dates back to 2011 when he was first found with child pornography, leading to a 10-year sexual offence prevention order (SOPO).
In May, he was sentenced to two years at Newcastle Crown Court after pleading guilty to breaching the order by possessing both indecent images of children and extreme pornography.
Officers from Northumbria Police searched his property on Vine Street, Wallsend, following information from the National Crime Agency (NCA).
During the search, they recovered multiple devices containing over 200 indecent images.
After his 2011 conviction, Orchin was also subject to a ban on possessing images of individuals under 16, in addition to the SOPO.
He has now been sentenced to an additional 20 months’ imprisonment after admitting to two breaches of the sexual harm prevention order, the same length of sentence he received last year.
