WILLIAM HOPE FROM CARLISLE CONVICTED OF CHILD SEX ABUSE AND RAPE, SENTENCE IMMINENT
In a disturbing case that spans over two decades, William Hope, a man from Carlisle, has admitted to a series of serious child sex offenses.The court proceedings revealed that Hope, aged 56 and currently without a fixed address, pleaded guilty to a total of 14 charges, which included six counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault.
The allegations involve three different victims who were subjected to his abuse over a prolonged period.
Hope's criminal activities took place from the early 1990s up until March of this year, highlighting a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior that persisted for more than 20 years.
The court heard detailed accounts of the abuse, which caused significant harm to the victims involved.
In addition to the charges of rape and sexual assault, Hope also admitted to four counts of indecent assault on a child, further underscoring the severity of his crimes.
