CONTROLLING CARLISLE MAN ISOLATED PARTNER FROM HER FRIENDS
Simon Queen, a resident of Carlisle, threatened his partner by saying he would “thump her dog’s head” if she decided to leave him.During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Queen’s conduct throughout their relationship from February 2025 to December 9, 2025, was characterized by controlling and coercive behavior.
This included attempts to isolate her from her friends, knocking on her door whenever she was visiting, destroying her phone with a hammer, and issuing threats, notably one to harm her dog if she considered ending the relationship.
Queen acknowledged his controlling and coercive actions.
The judge sentenced him to four months in prison, which is likely to be served immediately due to time already served, along with a two-year restraining order preventing him from contacting the victim.
