WILLIAM GODFREY FROM HIGHAM FERRERS CAUGHT IMPORTING CHILD SEX DOLL PARTS IN UK

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Higham Ferrers and the wider Northamptonshire area, William Godfrey, a 22-year-old resident of Bryant Way in Higham Ferrers, has admitted to importing parts of a child sex doll into the United Kingdom. The incident came to light after Northamptonshire Police’s Paedophile Online Investigation Team (POLIT) executed a search warrant at an address in the eastern part of the county on March 29 of this year.

During the police operation, officers uncovered a disturbing collection of six infant parts, which included a head, a torso, and the lower half of a child sex doll. A paediatrician was called in to examine the items and confirmed that these parts were consistent with infants of an early primary school age, heightening the severity of the case and the concerns surrounding it.

On Friday, November 16, Leicester Crown Court heard the details of the case. William Godfrey, who resides at Bryant Way in Higham Ferrers, admitted to importing these doll parts from multiple countries, including the United States, Japan, and Germany. Such actions constitute a criminal offense under UK law, specifically related to the importation of goods with the intent to evade restrictions or prohibitions.

In addition to the importation charges, Godfrey pleaded guilty to multiple other serious offenses. These included three counts of making indecent images of children, one count of possession of indecent images of children, and an additional charge of possessing extreme pornography involving animals. Police investigations revealed that at least 250 images of children seized from his devices were classified as Category A, indicating the most graphic and severe content possible.

Judge Robert Brown presided over the case and delivered a stern sentence. He emphasized the gravity of Godfrey’s actions, stating, “There are no excuses for this disgusting behaviour and you’ve brought this situation entirely on your own head, you became caught up in this murky, disgusting world. This is child abuse. If there wasn’t a market for this filth, these images wouldn’t exist. People like you provide a market for child abuse.”

As part of his sentencing, William Godfrey was handed a three-year community order. This includes 150 hours of unpaid work and mandatory participation in group sessions for sex offenders. Furthermore, he was placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for a period of five years and was issued a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, aimed at restricting his future conduct and safeguarding the community from potential harm.
