TELFORD PAEDOPHILE GUILTY OF CHILD SEX CHARGES
A paedophile from Sutton Hill in Telford has been found guilty on multiple child sex abuse charges.
Wayne Morgan, aged 39, of Stonedale, Sutton Hill, faced trial at Shrewsbury Crown Court over offences committed between 2014 and 2020.
The jury unanimously convicted him on two charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, and by a majority of 11 to one on six charges of sexual activity with a child and one charge of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
The jury deliberated for five hours and one minute before reaching their verdicts.
Morgan is scheduled for sentencing at Shrewsbury Crown Court on May 23, contingent on the completion of a probation report.
In the meantime, Recorder Julian Taylor granted him conditional bail, warning him that it may result in a custodial sentence of some length and emphasized the importance of cooperation with probation services.
