CHURCH PASTOR WALTER CHAHWANDA FACES MULTIPLE SEXUAL OFFENCE CHARGES IN CHESTER
Update 27/03/2026: An evangelical pastor who sent intimate videos of himself to children and carried out abuse - after grooming them on TikTok and Snapchat - has been jailed for nine years.Walter Chahwanda, 34, of Plemonstall Court, Chester, was found guilty of 17 sexual offences against girls aged 14 to 17, between 2017 and 2020.
He also sexually assaulted a child under the age of 14.
He was a pastor in the Apostolic Faith Mission before he set up his own church called Sound of Dominion in Speke in Merseyside.
The court heard he targeted victims as far afield as Manchester, South Yorkshire, East Midlands and Kent.
He was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court to nine years in custody and five on extended licence.

Walter Chahwanda, a church pastor and male model, has faced a significant escalation in legal charges related to allegations of sexual offences.
Initially, he was charged with eleven alleged offences in March of this year, including serious crimes such as rape, assault by penetration, cyber flashing, multiple counts of sexual activity with minors aged 13 to 15, sexual communication with a child, causing a child to view sexual material, and blackmail.
Recently, authorities confirmed that he has now been charged with an additional ten offences as part of the ongoing investigation.
The charges relate to multiple victims.
Chahwanda, aged 33 from Plemonstall Court in Chester, was arrested on February 27, 2024, and faced further charges on March 13, 2024.
He is also identified as originally from Zimbabwe and has been associated with the Sound of Dominion Ministries in Speke, where he was a pastor.
His social media also states he is a gospel singer and male model.
He is currently remanded in custody and scheduled to appear in trial in September.
The police and victim support organizations continue to offer help for those affected by sexual abuse.
