Victor Blowers, 69, and his son Alexander Blowers, 41, were sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court to a combined total of 32 years in custody.
The case came to light after the child reported the abuse to a teacher, prompting a police investigation.
Officers arrested Victor Blowers at his home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
Enquiries later established that both men had committed offences against the same child, including sexual assault.
The court heard that the abuse took place on multiple occasions and involved indecent images.
Alexander Blowers pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault, one count of rape, and an offence relating to the creation of indecent images of a child.
