A Rochdale man, 29-year-old Umair Ashfaq, formerly working as a pharmacist and living in High Barn Close, was detained yesterday on allegations of child grooming.
It is reported that he sent 13 inappropriate images and sought naked pictures from a 14-year-old.
He also showed up at the arranged meeting.
The information is distressing, with authorities noting the severity of his actions.
The police team involved, including security staff Walshy, Kev, Fletcher, Billy, Wayne, and an anonymous member, were praised for their efforts.
Ashfaq reportedly resisted arrest but was unable to evade detention.
