GODMANCHESTER MAN HAD MORE THAN 5,000 INDECENT IMAGES
A man has received a prison sentence after being found in possession of over 5,000 indecent images of children.
Specifically, Kevin Askew had a total of 5,105 such images.
His collection included 4,983 Category C images, 95 Category B images, and 27 Category A images—the most severe category.
Residing in Crowhill, Godmanchester, Askew appeared before Cambridge Magistrates' Court on September 5, facing three charges of creating indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child and one charge of possessing a prohibited image of a child.
He was sentenced to nine months in prison, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to take part in a rehabilitation program.
Additionally, his HP Laptop is to be confiscated and destroyed, and he is required to register with the police for a period of 10 years.
