MERSEYSIDE OFFENDER BANNED FOR VOYEURISM IN LIVERPOOL MCDONALD'S
A man named Tyler Rogers has been banned from every McDonald's in Merseyside after he was caught spying on a 16-year-old girl in the bathroom of a Liverpool restaurant.
Rogers, aged 24, reported to have been at the restaurant around 9.45pm on Thursday, July 24, claiming he was there to pick up a 'Too Good to Go' bag.
While in the women's toilets, he was observed peering over into a cubicle where the girl was seated.
The victim, who was visibly shaken, saw him and ran to tell the security staff.
Rogers was quickly identified and police were called.
He initially claimed he had not done anything wrong but admitted the act, denying any sexual gratification from it, though police and court records indicated sexual motives.
Rogers was already a registered sex offender due to prior offenses, including a June 2023 conviction where he received a 16-month sentence for secretly filming nude women in Crosby Leisure Centre changing rooms.
Prosecutor Adrian Evans emphasized that Rogers had once again committed voyeurism against a young girl despite having a Sexual Harm Prevention Order in place, which was meant to prevent such acts.
The court regarded Rogers’ actions as a sign of his disregard for legal restrictions and a threat to the community.
His defense argued he was intoxicated at the time, had entered the wrong toilet, and that his actions were not highly planned.
Rogers currently resides in Bootle and is in hostel accommodation.
His bail conditions prohibit him from entering any McDonald's in Merseyside or Liverpool city center, and include a nightly curfew.
