In a disturbing case that has shocked the cricket community and residents of both Leamington Spa and Manchester, Tony Brown, a middle-aged cricket captain, was sentenced to a year in prison following his conviction for engaging in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.The incident, which took place over a span of ten weeks, involved Brown, who was at the time associated with the Tameside cricket club in Manchester, developing an inappropriate and illicit relationship with the young girl.
