LEYTON: CHILD ABUSER TO BE DEPORTED
A CHILD beater who left a toddler suffering from more than 50 bruises is to be jailed and then deported.Tomasz Jasinski, 35, of Melbourne Road in Leyton, abused and hit the three-year-old infant on at least four occasions over several months.
Police say he used items including a belt and slipper to hurt the tot.
He was unanimously found guilty of child cruelty by a jury at Wood Green Crown Court.
Jasinski was sentenced to four years imprisonment.
After serving half his sentence, the judge recommended he should be deported back to his native Poland.
The court heard how the assaults took place at an address in the Palmers Green area.
The alarm was raised by the child's mother who contacted police in February this year.
The toddler had been threatened not to say anything by Jasinski.
When examined, more than 50 bruises were discovered on his body, many on his legs and behind.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Chris Wastie from Haringey Child Abuse Investigation Team said: "The judge, plus many others involved in the case, said this was one of the worst examples of physical abuse he had seen.
Jasinski showed no remorse and tried to blame others for the injuries.
I am pleased at Jasinski's conviction and that he will be deported after serving his sentence."
