EAST LONDON MAN JAILED FOR LIFE AFTER HORRIFIC MURDER AND SHARING VICTIM'S PHOTOS
A 54-year-old man named Yi Xing Song received a life sentence after being convicted of killing his partner, Li Qing Wang, in Leyton, east London.The court was informed that in February, Song stabbed Wang 21 times in her bedroom.
The judge highlighted that Song had experienced numerous sleepless nights, as he believed she was involved with another man.
On the day of the incident, Song drank strong lager and red wine before launching a violent attack with a six-inch knife.
Following the murder, he sent pictures of her body through a messaging app to her family, including one of her body that he shared with her relatives.
This image was seen by Wang’s sister in China, who subsequently contacted other family members to confirm Wang’s safety.
Later, two friends discovered her body alongside a broken phone, and they noticed Song acting as if he was unconscious.
It was also disclosed during sentencing that Wang’s son was compelled to take a year off his master’s studies at Cambridge University due to her death, which was a setback from her hopes for his graduation.
Song confessed to the murder and was ordered to serve at least 19 years in prison.
