PARAMEDIC STRUCK OFF AFTER BEING CONVICTED OF CHILD SEXUAL OFFENCES
Timothy Flockhart, a paramedic registered with the HCPC, was formerly employed by South West Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST).
On June 16, 2022, he self-referred to the HCPC after being under criminal investigation for allegedly possessing, displaying, or distributing indecent images or pseudo-photographs of a child.
The investigations by the National Crime Agency commenced on April 21, 2022.
SWAST announced on July 13, 2022, that Flockhart had been suspended from his position pending the outcome of the police inquiry.
He was subsequently dismissed from his role on May 17, 2025.
On October 3, 2023, he pleaded guilty at Exeter Crown Court to three charges of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of a child.
His sentences included an 18-month community order, 140 hours of unpaid work, 20 days of Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, a fine of £425, and registration as a sex offender for five years.
Additionally, he was subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years and was to be reported to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
