MAN JAILED AFTER DRIVING TO NORTH KENT TO MEET A CHILD
A man from Wales has been sentenced to six years in prison following his attempt to travel to meet a child for sexual activity.
Timothy Boorman, 60 years old, had engaged in online conversations with the minor before traveling to north Kent on 13 August 2025.
He was swiftly detained and taken into custody when he arrived at the destination.
Boorman, living at Ffordd Taliesin, Killay near Swansea, was charged with several offences, including conspiracy to commit the rape of a minor.
He pleaded guilty during his first court appearance at Maidstone Crown Court.
On 14 November 2025, he appeared again and was sentenced to six years in jail.
A Sexual Harm Prevention Order, which does not have a specified end date, was also issued against him.
