MAN JAILED FOR 'FILTHY BEHAVIOUR' AT SWANSEA BUS STATION
Mark Jones pulled his trousers down and spent 10 minutes pleasuring himself in front of passengers waiting for a bus A man pulled down his trousers and spent 10 minutes pleasuring himself in Swansea's Quadrant bus station, a court has heard. When arrested Mark Jones told police he was "disgusted" at his behaviour but said if released he would go back to the bus station and carry on.
Swansea Crown Court heard 43-year-old Jones had 32 previous offences on his record including multiple offences of indecent assault of children, exposure, and outraging public decency and that he is currently subject to a sexual harm prevention order imposed by a court in Mold.
Sending the defendant down a judge said Jones had engaged in "filthy behaviour" in a public place and he told him if he continues to behave in such ways his custodial sentences will get longer and longer.
The court heard the incident happened in the early hours of the morning of February 1 this year in Swansea's main bus station.
Jones entered the building and "stared" at people waiting for a coach to London before laying on the floor, pulling down his trousers, and pleasuring himself.
The court heard that as well as the would-be passengers the incident was observed by a security guard who was monitoring the station's CCTV cameras.
The guard told Jones to leave but the defendant refused and continued touching himself The incident came to an end after around 10 minutes when police arrived and the defendant made off.
He was arrested a short time later in St Mary's Square.
The defendant was taken to Swansea Central police station where he told officers he could not really recall the events which led to his arrest but he said he was "disgusted" by his actions.
He then said he would continue the behaviour if released
