THOMAS STEWART FROM AMBLE FAILS TO SIGN SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER AND FACES FINE
In June 2007, a man from Amble was brought before the court for failing to comply with the legal requirement to sign onto the sex offenders register.Thomas Stewart, aged 49 and residing at Dandsfield Square in Amble, appeared at Alnwick Magistrates Court to face charges related to this offence.
Prosecutor James Long informed the court that Stewart had previously been convicted at Newcastle Crown Court of indecent assault.
Despite this conviction, Stewart had neglected to adhere to the rules governing the sex offenders register, specifically failing to sign the register as mandated by law.
