POLICE OFFICER CHARGED WITH TWO OFFENCES LEADING TO HIM BEING SUSPENDED FROM DUTY
PC Thomas DeZan, aged 32 and stationed in Skegness, faces charges of coercive or controlling behaviour as well as non-fatal strangulation.
He is scheduled to appear before Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on 24 September.
The allegations suggest that from 1 June to 15 August 2024, DeZan engaged in actions that were controlling or coercive toward a partner, which had a significant impact on her.
It is also claimed that he was aware, or should have been aware, that his conduct would have these serious effects.
In response to the charges, PC DeZan has been placed on suspension from his duties.
