SYNTHY MOULE SHOCKS CAM AND TUFFLEY WITH PAEDOPHILE CRIME AND DRIVING OFFENSES
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the communities of Cam and Tuffley, Sydney Moule, a man with a long-standing reputation as a dedicated youth football referee, has been convicted of serious criminal offenses. Moule, aged 65, who had spent over four decades officiating at children's football matches across Gloucestershire, was recently exposed as a paedophile, leading to his imprisonment. The incident that led to his arrest and subsequent conviction involved a highly inappropriate act witnessed by a two-year-old child and his 15-year-old brother. According to court reports, Moule, who was present at the scene, performed a lewd act on himself in full view of the young children. This shocking behavior was brought to light during the trial at Stroud Magistrates' Court, where Moule was found guilty of gross indecency towards a child.
The court sentenced Moule to five months in prison for his actions. It was revealed that he had previously denied any wrongdoing but was convicted two weeks prior by South Gloucestershire magistrates. His conviction followed allegations of gross indecency, which he did not contest at the time of the hearing.
At the time of his arrest, Moule was living in Tuffley, Gloucester, having previously resided in Cam. His professional background included a lengthy career working for an aviation machinery factory, from which he retired after 40 years. Notably, Moule has no children of his own and has always lived a solitary life.
During the court proceedings, Christine Graham, his legal representative, did not present any submissions on his behalf. In addition to the charges related to the indecency, Moule also admitted to multiple driving offenses. Between August 28 and September 9, in Gloucester, he was found to have been driving while disqualified and without insurance on three separate occasions. These incidents occurred just a day before his trial for gross indecency.
Throughout his career, Moule was well known within the local football community. He officiated in the Stroud Youth League, the Gloucester Youth League, and at under-18 matches in the Gloucester Sunday League. His refereeing credentials extended to the Bristol Premiership and the Stroud League, where he was recognized for his long-standing involvement in youth sports. However, his reputation has now been overshadowed by the serious criminal allegations and his subsequent conviction.
