BILSTON PAEDOPHILE, 45, WITH 'DANGEROUS INTEREST IN GIRLS' JAILED AFTER 'TRULY GRAPHIC' CHATS
A convicted sex offender with a genuinely dangerous and disturbing interest in children has been sentenced to prison.Married man Stuart Forsyth spoke in extremely explicit detail during online chats about his sexual attraction to young girls, describing his thoughts in a shocking manner during conversations deemed 'appalling.' The 45-year-old resident of Clare Crescent, Bilston, believed he was communicating with a fellow pedophile, but he was actually speaking to an undercover police officer.
Forsyth was found guilty by a jury of two counts of arranging or facilitating a child sex offence and one count of attempting to publish an obscene article, all occurring between May and September 2022.
During sentencing, Judge Michael Chambers KC described Forsyth as a "high-risk individual," stating: "I am compelled to conclude that you are manipulative.
You presented a classic defense claiming to be a paedophile investigator rather than a paedophile." The jury rejected Forsyth’s attempt to justify his actions.

He used a false name and made it clear from the beginning that he wanted to discuss taboo topics, including his attraction to young girls.
Forsyth believed the officer had an 11-year-old daughter and planned to meet her for sexual activity, Judge Chambers stated.
The planned meeting was set in Bristol, supposedly under the pretext of attending a concert, but no tickets were actually purchased.
Judge Chambers commented: "I am quite satisfied that your intention was to engage in sexual activity." He added, "I am quite satisfied that you would have pursued your goal." The court was told that Forsyth had previously exchanged messages with an undercover officer he falsely believed to be a fellow pedophile in October 2020.
In 2002, Forsyth received a police caution after masturbating in front of a 16-year-old babysitter and trying to coax her into touching his genitals.
Addressing Forsyth—who had no previous convictions—Judge Chambers described the caution as a warning meant to deter reoffending.
He acknowledged: "There is a decent, hardworking side to your character, but there is also a more disturbing side." She described him as "a loved family member and respected colleague." Ms Burgess highlighted references to Forsyth, emphasizing how everyone who knows him was shocked to learn what he had done and viewed his behavior as entirely out of character.
Forsyth, who had no previous criminal record, would likely face repercussions as a result of his actions, she added.
She also noted that his caution was issued 24 years earlier, when he was only 25.
Forsyth was given a three-year prison term on Thursday, May 7, along with a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and a lifelong requirement to remain on the sex offenders register.
After confirming his sentence details, Forsyth responded with "thank you, your honour," before leaving the video link room at HMP Dovegate, near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.
