FORMER BOXER LEE GLOVER, AKA THE TIPTON SLASHER, JAILED FOR VIOLENT ASSAULT AND STRANGULATION
A former boxing athlete known as 'The Tipton Slasher,' Lee Glover, has been sentenced to prison following a court case at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
The 38-year-old was convicted of charges including strangulation and assault causing actual bodily harm, stemming from an incident during a night out with his ex-partner.
The altercation occurred on March 29 in Wolverhampton, when Glover accused the woman of speaking to other men.
He responded by pulling her hair and disposing of it down a toilet, while threatening to gnaw her nose off and lunging at her.
During the attack, he strangled her and shouted, "I am going to kill you." Police responded to the scene, arrested Glover, and the victim was treated for the serious injuries she sustained.
Glover, who had a professional boxing record of 11 wins and 9 losses, was subsequently sentenced after being convicted on the charges.
