ACCRINGTON MAN JAILED FOR CHRISTMAS DAY VIOLENCE AGAINST EX-PARTNER

According to court reports, Steven Dunn, of Eddlestone Street, engaged in violent behavior towards his former partner during a drunken episode on Christmas Day.

The incident occurred after Dunn, who had been drinking heavily, went into Carol Lord's bedroom at around 11 am and asked to climb in with her.

When she refused, he became aggressive, punching her in the ribs and grabbing her by the hair, then assaulting her head and face.

The victim managed to escape and called the police.

Dunn admitted to being extremely drunk at the time and recollected little of the event, stating he had been drinking since noon on Christmas Eve and had little sleep.

The court proceedings detailed this violent incident as part of the sentencing.
