DEAL RAPIST STEVEN BIGGS JAILED FOR 18 YEARS FOR RAPING TWO TEENAGE GIRLS
A man who assaulted two teenage girls following a request for a cigarette has received an 18-year prison sentence.Steven Biggs, aged 42, was near a property on Freemans Way in Deal when he was approached by the two girls, aged 13 and 14.
He invited them into his home and then coerced one girl into a bedroom where he committed rape.
When the girls attempted to leave together—one staying outside and the other taken inside—Biggs forced both of them back inside and assaulted them both.
The assault occurred in August 2020, and it was reported to police after one of the girls confided in a family member a month later.
Biggs was detained in November 2020 and faced charges of 10 sexual offenses, including three counts of rape.
He chose not to testify at his trial at Canterbury Crown Court, but the jury found him guilty.
He was sentenced to 18 years and will be subject to lifelong sex offender notification requirements, along with restrictions imposed by a 25-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
