STEPHEN THOMAS FROM KENTON AND HARROW SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX OFFENCES IN LONDON AND KENTON
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local communities of Harrow and Kenton, Stephen Thomas, aged 30, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term of 17 years for a series of heinous sexual offences committed against two underage girls.The crimes span over several years and involve multiple victims, highlighting a troubling pattern of predatory behavior.
Thomas, who resides on Sedgecombe Avenue, first engaged in a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl from Hounslow in January 2015.
The relationship was kept secret for some time, but concerns arose when the girl’s father became suspicious after discovering messages on her Facebook account.
The father’s suspicions were confirmed when he caught Thomas assaulting his daughter on June 8 of that year.
The incident was immediately reported to the authorities, leading to Thomas’s arrest on the same day.
He was subsequently released on bail while investigations continued.
Further inquiries revealed that Thomas had a prior sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl who was a student at a school in Hounslow where he had previously worked in 2008.
It was noted that by the time of the recent offences, Thomas was no longer employed at that school.
The investigation uncovered a disturbing pattern of predatory behavior, with Thomas having engaged in sexual activity with minors on more than one occasion.
Following a comprehensive two-week trial at Isleworth Crown Court, Thomas was found guilty of multiple charges.
These included two counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of rape, and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, all relating to his most recent victim.
Additionally, he was convicted of two further counts of sexual activity with a child concerning his earlier relationship in 2008.
On January 20, the court handed down its verdict, and Thomas was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
The judge emphasized the severity of his crimes and the impact on the victims, condemning his actions as a gross violation of trust and innocence.
The case has brought to light the importance of vigilance and safeguarding measures to protect minors from exploitation and abuse, especially by individuals in positions of trust and authority.
