STEPHEN KING'S SHOCKING REVELATIONS: LONDON PAEDOPHILE AND ADVISOR JAILED FOR SICKENING MATERIALS

In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the London community, Stephen King, a 68-year-old man from Herne Hill, has been sentenced to prison after a series of heinous crimes involving child exploitation and possession of extreme indecent images. The case unfolded in Kingston Crown Court, where King pleaded guilty to six charges, including the possession of nearly 3,000 indecent images of children, some of the most severe and disturbing category, with 85 videos depicting the worst forms of abuse, including a baby being sexually assaulted.

On May 1, authorities raided a house in Richmond where King was residing. During the search, police discovered a 'paedophile manual' that contained explicit guidance on how to sexually abuse children. This material, along with thousands of indecent images stored on memory sticks, was found after a cleaner, who noticed a black suitcase belonging to King, brought it to Richmond police station. The police investigation revealed that the suitcase contained a trove of illegal content, including letters purportedly from children who claimed to have enjoyed sexual encounters with King, although no children have been directly linked to these letters. The images also included extreme acts of bestiality, which the judge described as 'disgusting and debauched.'

King's criminal history is extensive. He was previously convicted in 2004 of over 20 sexual offences, including engaging in sexual acts with a girl under the age of 13. At that time, he was also known to have advised judges and government agencies on how to handle paedophiles, even suggesting longer prison sentences for offenders. His role as an advisor was particularly shocking given his own criminal background. After serving time, he was released and was found to be staying in Richmond, where he continued to pose a threat.

In May, King attempted to contact a six-year-old girl, an act he was explicitly prohibited from doing under a sexual harm prevention order. His arrest followed this attempt, and he was subsequently sentenced to eight months in Wandsworth Prison. Just two days after his arrest, police uncovered further evidence of his depravity, including a diary detailing his sexual activities and photographs of him abusing children. The police also found handwritten accounts of abuse and photographs of King engaging in sexual acts with children, some of whom had learning difficulties and were severely traumatized. One victim even attempted suicide due to the trauma inflicted.

King's activities extended beyond the UK, as he was known to have traveled extensively and lived at various locations across the country. He was also a member of the Paedophile Information Exchange, an organization notorious for its advocacy of child abuse. His abuse of three young girls, aged between nine and 13, was facilitated by the use of alcohol, and the victims suffered lifelong trauma. The court heard that King had called himself Stephen Gosling at times and had a history of criminal behavior, including a six-month jail sentence in 1989 for gross indecency and making indecent material.

Detective Inspector Neil Thompson of the Paedophile Squad described King as a 'devious and dangerous lifelong predatory paedophile.' Post-sentencing, Judge Judith Coello condemned King’s actions, emphasizing the danger posed by such individuals to society. She highlighted that his possession of these images and materials fuels a market for heinous crimes, encouraging the production of more such content and perpetuating a cycle of abuse. King was sentenced to 20 months in prison, the maximum leniency given his recent health issues, including a heart attack and stroke.

Throughout the proceedings, defense lawyer Peter Cordwell argued that King had shown remorse and had expressed interest in sex offenders' rehabilitation programs while in custody. Nonetheless, the court’s verdict underscores the severity of his crimes and the ongoing threat he poses to society. The case has raised serious concerns about the effectiveness of monitoring and preventing individuals with such dangerous histories from reoffending, especially those who have previously advised on criminal justice policies related to child protection.
