In a case that has shocked the community of Waterbeach, Stephen Fuller, aged 65, has been sentenced to a significant prison term after being found guilty of subjecting a young girl to a prolonged period of sexual abuse spanning over six years.The disturbing incidents took place when the girl was between the ages of 7 and 13, a period during which Fuller exploited her trust and innocence.
Fuller, who resides on Lode Avenue in Waterbeach, was convicted after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including two counts of indecent assault and eight counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child.
The court heard that Fuller used gifts as a means of manipulation, effectively 'bribing' the young girl to maintain his illicit activities.
These gifts reportedly included items such as make-up, which he used to lure and manipulate her into silence.
The proceedings at Cambridge Crown Court revealed that the abuse began with Fuller touching the girl over her clothes.
