MAN JAILED AFTER KNOCKING WOMAN’S TEETH OUT IN “BRUTAL” ASSAULT
A man who struck a woman’s head with such force her front teeth fell out has been jailed.Robert Beeson, 44, from Park Crescent in Waterbeach, had known the victim for approximately two years and had rented a room to her starting in September 2025.
The relationship initially developed during the first couple of weeks but soured on October 6 after she shared a joke made by a friend about Beeson.
Later described as controlling and jealous by the victim, Beeson burst into her room in an angry state and launched an attack.
He grabbed her by the arms and threw her across the room, hitting her head in the process.
As she attempted to escape to another location, Beeson punched her in the ear.
The following day, she returned to collect her belongings and looked for Beeson’s keys, which he accused her of losing.
While she was kneeling on the ground searching, Beeson struck her in the face with his knee so forcefully that she lost consciousness.
After regaining consciousness, she saw blood around her and realized her front teeth had been knocked out.
She also saw Beeson cleaning bloodstains from the sofa.
He told her she was not allowed to leave until her injuries healed and locked the door to keep her inside.
On October 7, a friend of the victim saw Beeson at a shop and, concerned due to her silence, asked where she was.
Beeson initially said she was sleeping, but the friend followed him to his home, entered without permission, and found her on the sofa covered with a duvet, hiding her injuries.
He insisted his innocence and asked her not to report the incident.
The friend, who later called the police, managed to evacuate the victim, who was then taken to hospital by a relative.
Hospital examinations revealed significant injuries, including five missing teeth, facial fractures, and extensive bruising, although initial assessments were limited due to swelling.
Later that day, Beeson surrendered himself at Cambridge’s Parkside Police Station.
At court on April 8, Beeson admitted to causing grievous bodily harm without intent and assaulting her, receiving a sentence of three years and six months and a decade-long restraining order.
