STEPHEN BOWES OF YATE CAUGHT WITH CHILD PORN AND BESTIALITY IMAGES AT BRISTOL CROWN COURT

In July 2018, Stephen Bowes, a resident of Cranleigh Court Road in Yate, faced serious criminal charges related to the possession of indecent images of children and explicit bestiality material. The offences spanned a period from December 8, 2016, to November 3, 2017, during which Bowes was found to have accumulated and stored a variety of illicit images.

Specifically, Bowes was found to have created and possessed images classified under categories A, B, and C, which denote increasing levels of severity and explicitness in the depiction of minors. These images depicted children engaged in sexual activities, a crime that carries significant legal penalties due to the exploitation and abuse involved.

In addition to the child exploitation images, Bowes also possessed a highly disturbing and explicit pornographic image that portrayed individuals engaging in sexual acts with live animals and reptiles. The animals depicted included snakes, horses, goats, donkeys, and dogs. The image was described as explicit and realistic, highlighting the severity of the material Bowes had in his possession.

Following the investigation, Bowes was brought before Bristol Crown Court, where he faced sentencing proceedings. The case underscored the serious nature of his offenses, which involved both the exploitation of minors and the disturbing abuse of animals. The court scheduled the sentencing for August 29, 2018, where Bowes’s actions and the extent of his possession of illegal material would be formally addressed and appropriate legal consequences determined.
