SOLOMON SMITH FROM ERDINGTON JAILED AFTER SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN BIRMINGHAM AND ERDINGTON

In a series of disturbing incidents that have sent shockwaves through the local community, Solomon Smith, a known sex offender from Erdington, has been sentenced to 15 months in prison for assaulting two women in separate encounters.

The first assault occurred on March 15 of this year at a fast food restaurant located on Cherry Street in Birmingham city centre.

Witnesses report that Smith inappropriately touched a woman who was working behind the counter, causing her significant distress and fear.

The following day, Smith's violent streak continued when he targeted a 15-year-old girl on Erdington High Street.

He forcefully pushed her into a shop doorway and indecently assaulted her, an act that has deeply traumatized the young victim and her family.

Police swiftly responded to the incidents, and Smith was arrested shortly after the second assault.

The 38-year-old, who resides on Hunton Road in Erdington, had only recently been released from prison in January after serving time for previous sexual offences against women.

His recent actions have compounded concerns about his dangerousness and the potential for further harm.
