SIMON WILLIAMS FROM EDGBASTON RECAPTURED AFTER VIOLENT BEHAVIOR AND MISCONDUCT
Simon Williams, a 37-year-old man with a troubling history of domestic violence and aggressive conduct, has once again found himself back behind bars.His criminal record includes a conviction for assault causing grievous bodily harm, as well as charges related to controlling and coercive behavior, and intimidation directed at his former partner.
Williams was initially sentenced to a total of three years and two months in prison for these offenses.
After serving only half of his sentence, he was released into the community and placed at an approved premises in Edgbaston, a designated facility intended to support offenders transitioning back into society.
However, his time in the community was short-lived.
After just 11 weeks, Williams was recalled to prison due to misconduct.
Reports indicate that during this period, he engaged in disruptive and inappropriate behavior, including shouting, swearing, smoking, and drinking alcohol.
His conduct also involved verbally abusing his probation officer, which ultimately led to the decision to revoke his conditional release and return him to incarceration.
Williams’ former partner, who endured a decade of abuse at his hands, provided a harrowing account of his violent tendencies.
She described him as “a violent woman beater and bully of women in general,” recalling specific instances of physical assault.
She recounted how he had slammed her hand in a car door, smashed her face with a paint can, and physically beat her to the point of severe injury.
Her escape from his violence was dramatic; she once jumped out of a window to flee from him and was subsequently caught by police officers, with blood covering her face.
Her testimony underscores the severity of the abuse she suffered at his hands.

His domestic abuse offender manager reported that his constant drinking and use of cannabis contributed significantly to his recall.
