SIMON CHURCH, CHILD SEX OFFENDER IN [CITY], JAILED AGAIN FOR VIOLATING SEX OFFENDER CONDITIONS
Child sex offender Simon Church has been sentenced to prison after being found staying at the same residence as a child.
The 46-year-old pottery worker was previously convicted in 2014 on three counts of rape and eight counts of raping a child under 13, resulting in a 16-year prison term.
He was also subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and registered on the sex offenders' register indefinitely.
One of the conditions of his SHPO prohibited him from having a child under 16 in his home for more than 12 hours.
On July 11, 2024, shortly after his release from prison, police conducted an unannounced visit to his address.
During the visit, his partner informed officers that her niece had stayed at the residence, which was a violation of the conditions set by his SHPO.
