LIVERPOOL MAN CHARGED WITH SHOCKING HOSPITAL RAPE
A 28-year-old man named Sidharth Nair has been formally charged with the heinous act of raping a woman at Whiston Hospital in Merseyside.He is also facing two counts of sexual assault.
The victim reported that she was assaulted at the hospital on Tuesday evening.
Mr.
Nair appeared at Wirral Magistrates’ Court where he was remanded in custody.
He is scheduled to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on February 29.
Detective chief inspector Allison Woods of Merseyside Police stated, ‘We understand how shocking incidents of this nature are and I want the public to be reassured it will be thoroughly investigated.’ The woman is currently receiving support from specially trained officers, and police investigations are ongoing.
Mr.
Nair is from Jason Street, Everton, Liverpool.
He was also photographed in court and is reported to have been charged with the offenses related to this shocking attack.
