DUBLIN MAN (48) JAILED FOR ASSAULT CAUSING HARM AFTER THEATRE ATTACK
A man named Sean O'Faolain, aged 48 and residing at College Grove, Castleknock, Dublin 15, has been sentenced to 20 months in prison for assault causing harm.The incident involved him punching his ex-partner at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin and then assaulting her outside the venue, resulting in serious injuries.
The victim sustained a deep cut to her chin, a fractured jaw in two places, damage to her teeth, bruising, and a permanent visible scar on her face.
She also suffered emotional distress, including anxiety, and incurred ongoing medical and dental expenses.
O'Faolain came forward in court with signed guilty pleas on April 13th, 2024, and has no previous convictions.
The court was told that during the assault, he became aggressive, punched her in the face inside the theatre, followed her outside, pushed her, and continued the attack with additional punches.
Witnesses and theatre staff intervened, and emergency services were contacted.

The judge, Mr.
