COLCHESTER PAEDOPHILE TO BE SENTENCED AT IPSWICH CROWN COURT
A MAN who had conversations about sex with members of an online activist group posing as schoolgirls will be sentenced next week.
During exchanges with a girl, which he believed to be 13, Seamus McKee asked if she liked older men and requested a picture of her wearing shorts, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
He also told her to Google the word “porno” and said he was “horny”.
In a chat with a girl who he thought was 14, he mentioned some fathers liked to have sex with their daughters and suggested she get her grandmother to teach her about sex.
McKee was arrested by members of the online group on May 17 last year.
He admitted to two offences of attempted sexual communication with a child.
McKee, 35, of Sargeant Close, Colchester, had previously received a suspended prison sentence in 2019 for inciting a child to engage in sexual activity during an online chat with a decoy child.
Judge David Pugh postponed his sentencing until July 14 to allow the probation service to update a report on him.
The judge warned McKee that he was not promising any particular sentence.
