QUINTON MAN SCOTT MANN JAILED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES AGAINST SCHOOLGIRL IN 2012

In April 2012, a man from Quinton named Scott Mann was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of multiple sexual attacks on a schoolgirl.

Mann, 38 years old, had denied charges of inciting a 15-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity and two counts of sexual assault. However, the jury found him guilty at the conclusion of his trial.

The court was informed that Mann had a prior conviction for a similar crime committed against a young girl in 2008.

Judge Nicholas Webb stated that Mann had been correctly assessed as posing a "high risk" of causing serious harm to other young girls in the future. As a result, he emphasized that a prison sentence was necessary "to protect the public."

Mann, whose address was listed as Quinton Road West, was also ordered by Judge Webb to remain on the Sex Offenders Register for an indefinite period, with his license extended by four additional years.

Furthermore, Mann was subject to a ten-year Sexual Offenders Protection Order, which the judge imposed during the sentencing at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
