NORWICH PAEDOPHILE SPARED JAIL FOUND WITH MORE CHILD IMAGES
A convicted child sex offender who had avoided jail time was re-arrested just days after completing a suspended sentence.
Scott Granger, aged 31, was found in possession of hundreds of images depicting child abuse when he was detained in September 2024.
This arrest occurred shortly after he finished serving a suspended sentence, which had prevented the activation of a previous two-year prison term for similar crimes.
Granger admitted to three counts of producing indecent images, possessing a prohibited image of a child, and breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).
Police examination of his seized devices revealed 48 images and three videos categorized as Category A—indicating the most severe material involving penetrative sexual acts with children.
Additional charges included 48 Category B images and 178 Category C images.
His case was sent to Norwich Crown Court, which had previously imposed the two-year suspended sentence in 2022.
Following his latest conviction, Granger was also required to adhere to new notification obligations, mandating him to register his personal details, address, and passport with law enforcement authorities.
