YORKSHIRE SHOW JUMPING TRAINER JAILED FOR STALKING AND ARSON THREATS
Sarah Jones, aged 38, has received a prison sentence following her involvement in a stalking campaign against her former partner, which included breaking into his North Yorkshire home and threatening arson. She is a mother to two teenage daughters and struggled to accept the breakup with 37-year-old Chris Cumming, whom she met at equestrian events where he managed a high-end horsebox business.
Cumming detailed that their five-year relationship ended with his request for her and her children to leave his home, which he purchased through his own efforts.
He emphasized that she had no claim to his property but refused to vacate, prompting him to involve the police.
After her departure, she allegedly continued her harassment for several months, attempting to ruin his life.
Reports state she broke into his £600,000 farmhouse, stealing mail and a vacuum cleaner, and sent threatening messages.
Mr Cumming also claimed she attempted to ignite his horsebox by throwing petrol around it but was stopped beforehand.
Recently, she was jailed for 18 months after pleading guilty to burglary, theft, and harassment.
She did not contest the additional charges of making threats to kill, damaging property, or assault, which are now pending.
Cumming described allowing Jones and her children to stay with him as the worst decision he ever made, revealing that her intimidations caused ongoing stress and affected his business dealings.
He also mentioned that she contacted his clients with false allegations.
A court-issued restraining order now restricts Jones from reaching out to Cumming until further notice, as reported by the Mirror.
